Group Lead Contract

  • DEPOSIT/PAYMENT DETAILS

    • Camping sites require the following:
      • Holiday stays- $150.00 per site deposit at time of booking; balance due two weeks prior to check-in.

      • All other:
      • 2 night stays- $50.00 per site deposit at time of booking; balance due upon check-in
      • Stays of 3 nights- $100.00 per site deposit at time of booking; balance due upon check-in
      • Stays 4 nights or longer- $150.00 per site per site deposit at time of booking; balance due upon check-in

    • Rental units require the following:
      • ½ down at the time of booking
      • Balance due 30 days prior to arrival
    • Please note that deposits and/or final balances not paid by the required deadlines may result in the site or rental unit being released.

    • Pavilions are available for rent by groups who have a minimum of 6 campsites booked or at least 3 rental units. A non-refundable payment of $75 is required for the rental of a pavilion. This payment is due:
    • Day Guests: Groups are allowed to have daytime guests, the number which cannot exceed 25% of the number of group members staying at Keen Lake. All Day Guests are required to register at the Keen Lake Office, pay the $7/person guest fee, and receive a guest pass

    POLICIES AND GUIDELINES

    1. All required information for overnight guests (names, contact information, # of people per site, etc.) must be provided to the Keen Lake Office no later than two weeks prior to your date of arrival. Last minute additions or changes may incur a fee
    2. Proper notice is required for cancelling or reducing days reserved in order to obtain a refund. The policy is as follows:
      • 14 day notification is required for a refund of deposit, minus a $10 service fee per site reserved.
      • 8 to 13 day notification is required for a credit to be applied to current season only, minus a $10 rebooking charge.
      • 7 day notification is required for reducing days reserved.
      • We do not refund for early departures, including departures due to inclement weather
    3. All guests and visitors must follow Keen Lake rules and policies which can be found at www.keenlake.com. In the event any member of the group fails to abide by Keen Lake rules and policies, Keen Lake Camping and Cottage Resort may revoke that guest’s permission to be on Keen Lake property. In which case, the guest shall immediately vacate the assigned space upon demand, without refund or compensation of any form.
    4. Check in for camping begins at 3:00 pm. All group members must be checked in and set up on site no later than 10:00 pm. Due to enforced quiet hours, any group members unable to arrive by that time will need to wait to arrive the following morning.
      Check in for cottages begins at 2:00 pm. If a cottage guest will arrive after the Keen Lake Officecloses for the evening, the guest should contact the office in advance to make arrangements for security to open the cottage for the guest upon arrival
    5. Be thoughtful of others who are camping near you, just as you would like them to be thoughtful of you, so that all guests can most fully enjoy their stay at Keen Lake. This includes but is not limited to:
      • Playing radios, mobile devices, TV’s, etc. at moderate decibels and at appropriate times (i.e. not during quiet hours).
      • Controlling the barking of pets.
      • Speaking in low voices during quiet hours so as not to disturb guests who might be trying to sleep.
      • Using language that is appropriate for a family friendly environment.
      • Consuming alcoholic beverages in a responsible way, appropriate for a family friendly environment. Pennsylvania law prohibits the consumption of alcoholic beverages by any individual under the age of 21.
      • Avoid intruding on other guests campsites/property unless invited.
    6. Parents or guardians are responsible for their children. A parent or guardian or age-appropriate caregiver must be present on the grounds at all times with minor children. Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by a parent, guardian, or age-appropriate caregiver at the pool, lake, game room, and bath houses.
    7. Pets are welcome at Keen Lake on campsites and in certain pet friendly rental units. There is a two pet maximum per site. Pets cannot be a noise nuisance, they MUST be on leash at all times, and you are responsible for cleaning up behind your pet(s).
    8. The group is responsible, upon departure, to ensure all sites are left as found (i.e. no garbage or personal items have been left on site, all picnic tables have been placed in their original places, etc.). Keen Lake management reserves the right to pursue payment for the cost of damages and/or undue clean-up of sites or other facilities used by the group. This includes approved use of pavilions.
    9. This property is privately owned. The undersigned accepts camping privileges for him/her and his/her group with the understanding that he/she and any members of his/her group do hereby release the Keen Lake Camping and Cottage Resort, its officers and employees of all liability for loss or damage to property and injury to his/her person arising out of use of Keen Lake’s camping facilities, and agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Keen Lake Camping and Cottage Resort, its officers and employees, against claims resulting from loss of damage to property or injury to the person or any member of the family or guest of the registered Camper arising out of the use of its camping facilities.

    I have read the above contract and agree to all terms and conditions. I take responsibility for ensuring that all members of our group are aware of and abide by the terms and conditions outlined above.
